ALA Midwinter Wrap-Up
Hey everyone! With all the ALA Midwinter wrap-ups popping up out there, I decided that I wanted to do mine. But the focus isn’t going to be on books but all the AMAZING bloggers, authors, and publishers that I had the opportunity to meet.
Lauren from 365 Days of Reading was staying with my mom and I at the conference so we got to see each other at the airport. This was the second time that I had the chance to hang out with Lauren and she is one of the nicest people who I have had the pleasure of meeting!! We are so similar and I loved hanging out and talking books with her day and night. =)
Then there’s Katie from Katie’s Book Blog who is SO fun to be around. She always has a smile on her face and I am SO happy that we finally got to meet. I hung out with Katie and Lauren for the majority of the conference and I couldn’t have picked anyone better to hang with. =)
The lovely Kari from A Good Addiction was also there and it was SO great to see her again. =) She’s so much fun to talk books with and it’s thanks to her back at ALA in NOLA that I got to meet the wonderful Mary Lindsey.
I’ve met Lena from Addicted 2 Novels and Sash from Sash & Em before so it was nice to see them again around the exhibit floor. These girls are the best!!!
I am SO thankful to Jen and Stephanie for arranging the blogger dinner because thanks to them I got to meet Tori Scott, Lindsay Cummings, and Cherie from the Book Bender. These are three of the funnest and nicest ladies that you will meet!! I LOVED hanging with these girlies, along with Katie and Lauren. I can’t wait to meet up with them all again in the future. =)
Mary Lindsey, I truly love you. Seriously guys, she is the most amazing person and author I know. My mom and I loved hanging out with her in Dallas and getting lost around the town together. Teehee! I was also the “official” picture taking for her Teen Shiver signing and that was pretty cool. See an example of said picture below:
Now, the publishers. All of the publishers at ALA were generous and kind, even to some people who got a little crazy. I truly appreciate each and every one of them for all that they do and I LOVED chatting books with them. Harper is one of the nicest groups that you will meet. Molly, Stephanie, and Robin–you guys are too kind and I am so glad that I got the chance to talk to you all!
Lastly, I would like to thank my mom for taking me on this exciting trip. I know the time and energy it took out of you, so THANK YOU. I love you so much.
And so ends my ALA Wrap-Up. =) I hope everyone who went had a GREAT time!! I can’t wait til ALA in Anaheim this summer!!
