Hey everyone! As most of you know, I was selected to be the official live blogger for the Phoenix Dark Days of Winter stop. I had an AMAZING time at Changing Hands during the event and the authors were so funny and entertaining! I hope some of you got to either go to the signing or participate in the live feed. The authors revealed some great info on their books!
First of all, I want to say that Changing Hands bookstore rocks my socks off. Seriously. They made sure that I had everything set up and worked their booties off to make the Dark Days event successful. Thank you, Changing Hands!
Now, let’s get to the authors. I was ecstatic that I got to FINALLY meet Veronica Rossi. We have been talking on twitter for awhile now and she is just as great in person as she is on twitter. Immediately when she saw me, she gave me a hug! I couldn’t believe how sweet she was!! If you ever have a chance to go to one of her signings, definitely introduce yourself.
The most surprising thing that I found out about her was that she is/was a painter, and that led her to writing in its own way. Thank you, painting, for Perry!
Tahereh Mafi is SO funny. Everything that came out of her mouth made me giggle and love her even more. I got some great insight during the Q&A into SHATTER ME. Did you know that SHATTER ME was originally titles Touching Juliette?? For obvious reasons, you can see why that title didn’t stick.
My favorite moment was when she was signing my books and she told me how much she loves and appreciates book bloggers, and proceeded to give me a hug. I LOVE YOU, TAHEREH.
Ellen Schreiber is just as fantastic as Veronica and Tahereh. I’ve only had the chance to read a few of her Vampire Kisses series, but it was great to get some knowledge about her new books too. And after the signing we had a very nice chat about ourselves and I came to see what a genuinely nice person Ellen is.
If that wasn’t enough to make my night, I also got to meet some fellow Arizona book bloggers like Jen from In the Closet with a Bibliophile and Shanan from The Book Addict. It was great to talk books with these ladies and give and receive some book recommendations. I love talking books!
Now, to close this kinda long post, I leave you with the video interview I conducted with Tahereh, Veronica, and Ellen. Enjoy!

DUDE. I was there, too! They *are* seriously some of the nicest people ever! The panel was so interesting
I wish more bookish events came to Phoenix!
Awesome recap! It sounds like you had a great time! The authors all seem like really nice people. Can’t wait for YouTube to start cooperating! =P
Wow! What a wonderful post. It looks like it was a really great event. I am kind of dying over here jealous that you got to meet all of them.
Thanks for the awesome recap of the event, and all the pics.
I loved this event! They really need to make more of these in phoenix!!! Those three are amazing!
Wow this is awesome. So jealous you got to meet all those authors. <3 I neeeed to read Under the Never Sky! Ah!
What a great interview. I loved the question about books they wish they were reading! And I have to say I agree with you about Changing Hands–they are so awesome and easily my favorite bookstore!
