Elise is a normal seventeen-year-old girl until the day she wakes up in a desert park, with no idea who she is.
After that episode, her life takes a bizarre turn. She’s experiencing unexpected flashes of insight into people’s lives—people she’s never met before. Strangers frighten her with warnings about the approaching Shadows. And although Elise has never had a boyfriend, she suddenly finds herself torn between two handsome but very different young men: Abe, the charming bad boy whose effect on her both seduces and frightens her, and the mysterious Harlin, who’s new to town but with whom Elise feels an urgent, elemental connection—almost as if they are soul mates.
Now Elise begins to question everything about her life. Why do these guys both want her so desperately? What are the Shadows? Why does the name Charlotte inspire a terrifying familiarity? And who is Elise, really?
A WANT SO WICKED is a well-thought out and deliciously addictive sequel to A NEED SO BEAUTIFUL. I didn’t think I could love a second book just as much, maybe even more, than its predecessor but Suzanne Young proved me wrong with this one. If you haven’t read anything by this unpredictable and AMAZING author, you are sure missing out!
Elise is a shy and sweet girl who loves her family. She is so pure in spirit and will definitely get into every readers heart. There isn’t any doubt that her soul is Charlotte’s from the beginning and I wanted so badly for her to find out about what she was and about her past life, specifically the yummy Harlin. I loved every moment reading from her perspective! She isn’t stupid and trusts her instincts, no matter what they tell her. She’s my kind of girl!
Suzanne Young is a genius in the guy department. She knows how to weave a sexy guy into a story no matter the circumstances! In this case, there are two delicious specimens, Abe and my personal favorite, Harlin. I so missed Harlin after finishing A NEED SO BEAUTIFUL and I got my fix of him in this one, that’s for sure. Harlin will always hold a special place among my favorite guys of YA.
I wasn’t sure what to expect at all with A WANT SO WICKED but I came out feeling oh-so satisfied. If you were a fan of A NEED SO BEAUTIFUL, this one won’t disappoint.
