Synopsis:

Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the “prince” of their pride. But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse, a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian’s sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.

The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself, though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control. As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian can carry out their part of the plan, there’s no guarantee they’ll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be only the beginning….

Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan’s Firelight trilogy.

My Review:

Having been a fan of the Firelight trilogy from the very beginning, I was excited yet also nervous to read the last book. It is so hard to end a series in just the right way, and also sad to see some of my favorite characters go. However, I completely adored HIDDEN and couldn’t have asked for a better ending. Jordan is one of my favorite authors so I look forward to more of her YA books in the future.

Jacinda is back and on fire in HIDDEN! Her complete and utter determination to save Miram from the enkros, no matter her feelings about her, makes her all the more amazing. Jacinda has such a strong, powerful, and loyal personality after all that she has been through and I admire her for that. Anyone else would have broken down by this point but Jacinda sticks it out like a pro and protects those that she loves from harm as best she can. While I am sad that I will no longer get any books from her point of view, I am so happy that she can finally have a resolution! She deserves it.

No matter if you’re Team Will or Team Cassian, HIDDEN will definitely gratify you. Everything happens in just the right way so that we understand the decisions they all make about each other. I have loved getting to know the hunky Will and tormented Cassian! They both bring out the best in Jacinda, no matter the struggle for each to claim her heart. Jacinda is one lucky girl! I wouldn’t mind having to choose between these guys! It would definitely be a touch decision, though!

In HIDDEN, Jacinda makes many difficult choices and learns to come to terms with who she is. She doesn’t need to be what others want her to be; she only needs to stay true to herself and learn to enjoy the best that life has to offer. More Draki lore is explored and  readers will be satisfied with all that comes to light. Thank you, Sophie Jordan, for letting readers into your mind where fierce characters, hot boys, and Draki unite!

  1. SO EXCITED FOR THIS BAILEY! I’ve loved this series since book one – it’s about dragons, what’s not to love? And as much as I loved Will in that first book, Cassian completely won me over in Vanish, so I can’t wait to see how things work out for all of them. WOO HOO!

  2. I got this one for review but I still haven’t got my hands on Vanish so I’m not sure when I’ll get the chance to read this one. I only skimmed your review, but am so glad you loved it!

  3. Sadly, the second book pretty much did me in. I was so frustrated with the characters (especially those horrid adults!) and the love triangle about killed me. Good to know it finished well–I’ll no doubt cave and read it!

  4. I’m really looking forward to HIDDEN. I did have a difficult time with book 2 but I’m too darn nosy not to read the last book. LOL.

  5. Thank you of NO SPOILERS! I haven’t read Vanish yet so I’m excited to see that you enjoyed this one! Honestly, I want Cassian to win! But I like Will too..see, this is a good love triangle! Great review girl!

  6. I haven’t read any of this series yet, but it sounds good. Great review!!

  7. I LOVE the Firelight series!!!! It’s THE best book in the world! I want to ask Sophie herself if she could write the continuing of Hidden. Does ANYONE know how!!!??????
