My Review:
CRIMSON FROST is a wickedly fierce addition to the Mythos Academy series. If you thought Gwen had a lot on her plate in the previous books, just wait til you read this one! Loki and his Reapers really have it in for her in CRIMSON FROST, so much that the consequences could lead to her death–but not by the Reapers themselves. Get ready for more nail-biting action and adventures from Gwen, Logan, and their friends! Readers are sure to be left wanting more with the way Estep ends this one!
You gotta love Gwen’s snarky yet sweet persona. She’s fiercely loyal to everyone that’s close to her and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect them from Loki and the evil Reapers. But Gwen is in for quite the surprise in CRIMSON FROST when she’s arrested for something she didn’t intentionally do! I felt for poor Gwen who seems to get a whole lot more thrown at her than a normal person could handle. Thank goodness for the fact that she’s Nike’s Champion and a Gypsy! There isn’t anything that Loki can throw at her that she can’t handle. Well, maybe….
If you’re a devoted fan of this series like me, you’ll be excited to see much more of Logan, Daphne, Carson, and Oliver. There is also the addition of Alexei who, while I took a while to warm up to, squirmed his way into my heart along with Gwen’s other friends. While I wish there could have been more Gwen and Logan one-on-one time, I felt like they grew much closer in this one. And then there’s that thing that happens towards the end that had my draw dropping open and left me feeling empty yet hopeful. Readers won’t be expecting the twist Estep cooked up.
If you love the Mythos Academy series, you are most definitely going to enjoy CRIMSON FROST. While the ending will leave you desperately craving for more, it gives you just enough of a hint at what is to come for Gwen. Well done, Jennifer!
My Rating:

Love this series, and Crimson Frost didn’t disappoint! Really love how Gwen has grown as a character, and her friends are awesome! Can’t wait to see what Jennifer comes up with next!
