Sophie Jordan is my Rockstar
I’m super excited to be hosting Sophie Jordan on my blog as part of the Authors Are Rockstars tour. Sophie Jordan is most definitely my rockstar. I’ve been into her YA books since before FIRELIGHT even released. It was one of my very first ARCs I received when my blog was only one month old so I will always treasure it. The FIRELIGHT books are packed full of hot guys, kick-ass dragons, crazy plot twists, and so much more. Will and Cassian are definitely two of my favorite things about the books and I thank Sophie Jordan for bringing them into my life. On top of that, she’s just as much an amazing person as she is an author. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her at a signing in Arizona and at ALA Midwinter in Dallas and she was so lovely. She actually knew who I was when I first met her at the Phoenix signing. ME! I can’t wait to read more books by this fabulous woman. UNINVITED, her upcoming YA novel in a new series, is the number one book that I’m excited to read next year.
With that being said, I’m excited to share with you awesome readers her favorite books (at the moment). Enjoy!
Subject to change daily! At the moment, my top ten favorite books are:
These two will never change:
TO KILL A MOCKINBIRD by Harper Lee
NIGHT by Elie Wiesel (it’s actuall a memoir)
UNDER THE NEVER SKY by Veronic Rossi
THE RULES by Stacey Kade
FOREST OF HANDS AND TEETH by Carrie Ryan
NINE RULES TO BREAK WHEN ROMANCING A RAKE by Sarah Maclean
CATCH OF THE DAY by Kristan Higgins
IN THE AFTER by Demetria Lunetta
SEE JANE SCORE by Rachel Gibson
FAT CAT by Robin Brande

A hidden truth. Mortal enemies. Doomed love.
Marked as special at an early age, Jacinda knows her every move is watched. But she longs for freedom to make her own choices. When she breaks the most sacred tenet among her kind, she nearly pays with her life. Until a beautiful stranger saves her. A stranger who was sent to hunt those like her. For Jacinda is a draki, a descendant of dragons whose greatest defense is her secret ability to shift into human form.
Forced to flee into the mortal world with her family, Jacinda struggles to adapt to her new surroundings. The only bright light is Will. Gorgeous, elusive Will who stirs her inner draki to life. Although she is irresistibly drawn to him, Jacinda knows Will’s dark secret: He and his family are hunters. She should avoid him at all costs. But her inner draki is slowly slipping away;if it dies she will be left as a human forever. She’ll do anything to prevent that. Even if it means getting closer to her most dangerous enemy.
Mythical powers and breathtaking romance ignite in this story of a girl who defies all expectations and whose love crosses an ancient divide.
