Through the Zombie Glass Tour: Why You Should Read the White Rabbit Chronicles
Hello everyone! I am super excited to be a part of the Through the Zombie Glass book tour hosted by Kismet Book Tours. I am a HUGE fan of Gena Showalter, and her White Rabbit Chronicles books are most definitely among my favorite books I’ve ever read. For those who loved Alice in Zombieland, just wait til you get your hands on Through the Zombie Glass. I didn’t think it could get any better than Alice, but boy was I wrong. I am still trying to recover from all that happened in the book! More now please, Gena?
Anyways, as part of the tour I am here to tell readers why they must read the White Rabbit Chronicles books. There are just way too many reasons that I could babble on about for days, so I picked five of my favorite things about the series that make it so amazing.
Five Reasons Why I Think You Should Read the White Rabbit Chronicles Series
1. Alice. She’s kick ass and vulnerable at the same time, making for one of my favorite heroines to read about. She is loyal to fault and will do anything to protect her friends and family, even if it means sacrificing herself to do so. My heart broke into pieces for her in Alice in Zombieland, but she’s stronger than ever in Through the Zombie Glass and more than ready to take on whatever comes at her. Go Alice! *waves pom poms*
2. Emma, Alice’s little sister. While Emma is only alive for a super short while, her spirit still lives on to help guide Alice as she discovers more about the world of zombies and slayers. She is absolutely adorable and while it breaks my heart that she isn’t exactly alive any longer, I am glad Gena still added her to the series as a guardian to Alice.
3. Cole, Alice’s love interest. Goodness, I’m not even sure how to describe this yummy hunk of man. He’s one of my all-time favorite love interests that Gena has created, and that’s saying a lot since she has some pretty good ones. Cole is broody, dangerous, and the ultimate bad boy. Along with his rough outer image that he projects is a man who is Alice’s equal and he’s willing to do anything he can to protect her and their fellow slayers. While he can be slightly infuriating at times, it just adds to the good stuff in the book.
4. The Zombies. I have never read about or seen zombies like the ones in the White Rabbit Chronicles. They’re spirits in a way and nothing like the zombies from Zombieland or The Walking Dead. While they’re equally as terrifying, there’s quite an interesting backstory to them that makes for an even bumpier ride in the books. I NEVER want to come across Gena’s zombies. At least with the Walking Dead ones I can fight them without having the ability to be able to fight them with my spirit!
5. Kat, Alice’s best friend. Kat is my absolute favorite best friend in all the YA books that I’ve ever read. She’s absolutely hilarious and says anything that’s on her mind, no matter how crazy or far-fetched it may seem. Her on-again, off-again relationship with slayer Frosty makes me giggle and my heart wiggle. Those two are the cutest together. I also adore how Kat is always there for Alice, no matter how hard times are for her herself. Everyone needs a Kat in their life!
The characters and the zombies in the books make for one phenomenal series that I have so much love for. If you haven’t yet read Alice in Zombieland yet, get on that!

I love this series!!
Wasn’t sure when I started the first book, especially because I was expecting more Wonderland and more zombie-like zombies. But I quickly fell in love with the whole story and can’t wait to read this next installment!
I agree with Bailey, Cole is Yummy and one or two reasons you need to read this series. I loved the first one and can’t wait for the sequel.
Cole Alice’s love interest is what sold me!
The first book was great, and I can’t wait until the next one is released.
All of them! The book has so many great qualities and they all flow together beautifully. Can’t wait until the next one (: <3
I would survive with a bow and arrow
Well if I had a Cole of my own I don’t think I would have a problem surviving Zombieland. He kicks ass (and looks rather yummy doing it)!
I think to survive, I might have to be simply mad. Love Gena’s work and awesome giveaway!
Well..I would make sure to find a group with a sexy guy like Cole and make sure I have my own weapon and have a sort of safe “base” I can go back to in case anything happens!
I would survive with a crossbow!
I like Ellen’s reply
. I’d carry a hatchet too.
I’d learn how to fight zombies to survive!
I would stick to Alice and have her teach me how to fight,
I’ll watch her back and fight with her. I’ll bring a katana for close range combat.
When I started this book I thought of Alice in Wonderland theme which I’m not a huge fan of but I love Gena Showalter books so I decided to read it and it was the best decision EVER!!! I’m soo happy that the only resemblance to Alice in Wonderland is the rabbit, main character name, and title.
Machete!
If I were to survive in Zombieland it would be thanks to pure dumb luck.
with a sword
Cole, always Cole…and the zombies!
LOVE this series! So excited for this book!
i would survive by acting a bit crazy and zombie like ,keep my head down ,hide well ,arm myself to the teeth ,but i think acting a bit crazy and unpredictable would be helpful
Oh, I’m so excited I haven’t read this series yet but its on my to read list, Thank you for this Giveaway!
Alice is a kick-ass heroine which is why I would read this book plus I read the first book and want to know how Alice is doing and her relationship with Cole.
I dont think I would survive very well.
Cole and Alice, both sound like great characters
Just finished Alice in zombie land read it in a week haven’t done that in a while sooo good
would love to win book . 2 So don’t have to wait for the library to get it i
I cannot wait to read this book! I grew up on a farm so I think I may be set…or I can just keep a weapon with me at all time and work on my stamina because I suck at running.
My daughter has read the first book and is impatiently waiting for the 2nd. I have them on my TBR list, just haven’t had the time to get to the book. Love Gena’s writing, so I’m sure I will love this series.
I think the first step to survival in a world gone mad is Knowledge and Finding the right friends.
I probably wouldn’t survive, but… lots and lots of weapons?
Brynna
I would survive by fighting!
I would survive in Alice’s world by learning to fight.
Hiding and running away.
I love this series
The one about Cole, of course! A good hero is always going to be my reason for reading a book.
The second one had me sold. I was a bit iffy on the first one, just because it didn’t make sense (title). I was a bit turned off, but I liked the story so I continued and I don’t regret it
Alice…I mean, I always love a heroine who is kick a$% and though she needs help cause she is new, she rocks.
I would definitely learn how to fight and try not to go anywhere without some kind of weapon!
Love this series so far and can’t wait to see what Alice and Cole have to face next! I’d survive with a good weapon, like a machete. Thanks!
I would need my own personal Cole!
I’d survive with an arsenal of good weapons: machete, knives, katana or swords. Guns are great, until you run out of bullets. A band of other survivors with great fighting skills would be great, too, especially hunters.
